A memorial on Gasberry Lane honors lost Webster teen

The community has arranged a small memorial at the tree where the young Webster Schroeder grad died.

Webster, NY - A memorial has been arranged at the tree where a young Webster teen died in a car accident earlier this week.

On Nov. 1, Brody D. Spade, 18, of Webster, was pronounced deceased after hitting a tree in a fatal vehicle accident on Gasberry Lane. The five passengers who were with him were transported to an area hospital for injuries.

Spade was a 2020 graduate of Webster Schroeder High School, as well as a member of the school’s lacrosse team.

The names of the other individuals injured from the crash have not been released out of respect for their privacy.

Webster police say more information will be released as the investigation allows. They believe speed was a contributing cause of the accident.
