It may be a distressing time for all of us, but people are still finding ways to spread the love wherever they can. The Webster Police Department recently shared some positive news on Facebook, highlighting the kindness that was recently demonstrated through the donation of disinfecting supplies.
A post shared on a Webster Neighborhood Facebook page inspired members of the community to donate disinfecting supplies to the WPD office.
“These supplies have been put to good use already in an effort to keep our officers as healthy as possible,” the WPD says in the post.
“The Webster community always comes through for us and we are grateful for the support.”
Grateful for the donations, the WPD assured the community that its office has enough supplies “for the time being,” and that any extra donations anyone may have should be given to nursing homes, fire departments, ambulance services, or hospitals, or even other local police agencies.
“Webster PD was not the only agency with a supply shortage,” the post reads.
The WPD will let the community know if it runs low on anymore cleaning/disinfecting supplies.
The department’s final note in the post to residents:
“Stay Webster strong.”
