COVID-19 treatment center to open at Hill Haven

Patients testing positive will be treated in a designated facility

Webster, NY - Rochester Regional Health is opening a COVID-19 treatment center at Hill Haven Nursing Home in Penfield/Webster for long-term care patients who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The designated treatment center will ensure that patients receive specialized treatment that would otherwise be lacking for them. The separation from other patients will also help prevent the spread of the virus.

According to multiple sources, staff in the COVID-19 treatment center will also be kept isolated from other staff and residents at Hill Haven.

Patients in the designated treatment center who recover from COVID-19 will be transferred back to their original Hill Haven facility.

Back in May of this year, Hill Haven was under close scrutiny after a high number of residents and staff tested positive for the virus.
