Edna Struck Memorial Park is the charming little grassy median where Lapham Park makes a slight jog at the corner of Elm Street, on the east side of the village. It’s named in honor of Mrs. Struck, who made it her passion to tend the plants on the island for years.


In February of 2019, someone was driving down Lapham Park much too fast and—instead of navigating the jog in the road—decided to drive right through the park, mowing down the trees and plants, and inflicting significant other damage.
