Over 170 cars drive by to wish boy with Cerebral Palsy ‘Happy Birthday’

Members of West Webster Fire, Webster Fire, and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, along with a supportive Webster community, recently participated in a “Happy Birthday” parade for a special young boy. And it was all done while still following social distancing guidelines due to COVID-19.

Josh Nodine, who has Cerebral Palsy, was originally going to Disney World on a trip from Dream Factory for his birthday (March 28) this year. However, the spread of the coronavirus and mandates to stay at home quickly got in the way of those plans.

According to online reports, Josh’s mother shared a post on Facebook in an effort to put together a small parade for Josh to make his birthday special and to cheer him up after the plans for Disney World fell through.

She expected about 50 cars to show up.

Instead, over 170 cars drove by Josh’s home to wish him “Happy Birthday,” demonstrating the love and support a community can still share amidst troubling times.

First responders, friends, teachers, and families drove by with birthday signs and smiles, waving to Josh as he sat with his family in front of his house.
