The coronavirus has officially made its way into Webster. The Kiddie Academy of Webster recently issued a statement informing the public that a parent of one of their students has tested positive for COVID-19, according to news reports.

The center did not reveal any information about the family that has been infected/exposed, due to privacy rights.

The statement assured the public that the department of health and local licensing were contacted immediately upon discovering the news. In addition, the center said the location will “undergo a thorough cleaning and disinfecting,” and increased health and safety procedures are already in place.

The Academy will remain open.

“We have, and will continue to, consistently employ aggressive preventative measures to keep our Academy students and teachers safe,” the Academy concluded in its official statement. “We will continue to communicate with our families as more information becomes available."

Anyone who isn’t feeling well or has been in contact with someone who is ill is urged to stay home to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.
