MONROE COUNTY PRESS RELEASE -

New Cases

There are 41 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the 4 p.m. update on Thursday, April 16.

These new individuals include:

• 2 Females under 19 years of age

• 6 Females in their 20s

• 2 Males in their 20s

• 4 Females in their 30s

• 1 Male in his 30s

• 4 Females in their 40s

• 2 Males in their 40s

• 2 Females in their 50s

• 3 Females in their 60s

• 4 Females in their 70s

• 2 Males in their 70s

• 1 Female in her 80s

• 3 Males in their 80s

• 3 Females in their 90s

• 2 Males in their 90s

Deaths

There were 2 new deaths since Thursday, April 16, bringing the total to 64.

Hospitalized

Of the 970 confirmed cases, 96 people are hospitalized. 35 of the 96 patients are in the ICU on a ventilator.

Recovered from Isolation

There have been 409 Recovered from Isolation – Confirmed cases to date.

There have been 556 total Recovered from Isolation to date. This number reflects confirmed positive COVID-19 cases and known presumed positive COVID-19 cases.

We are providing new race/ethnicity breakdowns for COVID-19 patients who have been hospitalized, in the ICU or deceased. We will continue to include additional statistics and data as it becomes less of an identifying factor of those impacted.
