Motorcyclist killed in collision at Klem and Five Mile Line

The woman driving the car was charged with Vehicular Manslaughter 2nd

Webster, NY - The driver of a motorcycle traveling down Klem Road died from injuries caused by a collision with a sedan at the Five Mile Line Road intersection last week.

According to a press release, the Webster Police Department was called to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Klem and Five Mile Line roads on Monday, April 19. A sedan traveling Westbound down Klem turned left in front of a motorcycle traveling Eastbound down Klem.

The driver of the motorcycle, 62-year-old Scott D. Moss, died at the hospital from his injuries.

There were two people in the sedan at the time of the accident. The driver, Jennifer S. Alexander, 34, was uninjured, whereas the passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Alexander was charged with Vehicular Manslaughter 2nd, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Unsafe Turn, and Failure to Yield the Right of Way. She was arraigned by the Honorable Justice Corretore and released with a court date of April 23, 2021.

“Due to the severity of the accident, the NYSP accident reconstruction team responded to assist with the investigation,” Webster Police Chief Dennis Kohlmeier states in the press release. “WPD was also assisted by West Webster Fire Department, Webster EMS, and our Special Police unit.”

“The Webster Police Department would like to express our condolences to the family of Mr. Scott D. Moss,” Kohlmeier stated in a second press release.
