W.A.S.P.S (Webster Association of Senior Program Supporters) is a group of volunteers who provide transportation for retirees and disabled residents who live within the Webster Central School District. We are a 501C3 Non-Profit Organization.

The Webster Association of Senior Program Supporters was started in August 2010 by John (Bud) Johnston with the intention of giving a neighbor a ride to a medical appointment. It has blossomed into a booming organization that has supported hundreds of seniors who live in the Webster School District.

Whenever a retiree or disabled resident is in need of a ride, they can call us and our dispatcher takes over.

As a 501C3 non-profit organization staffed by volunteers, the lending of a helping hand is enough to give them satisfaction. It gives us great pleasure to have a program that offers a sense of comfort and relief that transportation is no longer a concern. Our friendly staff will greet you warmly and get you safely home.

DURING 2019, THE VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED 2,152 RIDES, 22,849 MILES AND 2,237 VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS FOR OUR SENIORS.

We provide transportation for the following:

  • MEDICAL AND DENTAL APPOINTMENTS

  • DIALYSIS/CHEMOTHERAPY

  • PHYSICAL THERAPY

  • PHARMACY VISITS

  • HEALTH RELATED SHOPPING

Post COVID, we will get back to doing BANKING AND HAIRDRESSER/BARBER trips as well!

Rides are provided MONDAY-FRIDAY - EARLIEST APPOINTMENT TIME IS 9:00 a.m., LATEST

APPOINTMENT TIME IS 2:30 p.m. The ride request must be made a minimum of 3 days before the appointment (not including holidays, weekends or day of appointment). Clients must be able to move independently from their home, to the vehicle, and to and from appointments.

DONATIONS: A minimum donation of $5.00 round trip is appreciated for appointments within the Webster School District, and $10.00 round trip outside the District but within Monroe County.

Financial support is needed to maintain the transportation system, vehicles, and office of W.A.S.P.S. Your contribution will have twice the impact if you use your employer's matching gifts program.
