One of the vehicles involved in the accident was located well off the roadway in a grassy/tall brush area, according to a Webster Volunteer Fire Department news release.

As firefighters worked to safely remove the trapped occupants, a large portion of the intersection was closed off.

The two patients were transported to the hospital once they were safely removed from the vehicles. The news release does not provide any details on the severity of their injuries.

The accident is being investigated by the New York State Police and the Webster Police Department.
