The Webster Police Department has been receiving generous donations from the community as its officers continue looking out for the wellbeing of others during COVID-19.

According to a Facebook post shared by WPD, Webster residents and businesses have been donating things like Domino’s pizza, Bruster’s ice cream, cards, and positive online messages.

Police officers across New York State are going to have more responsibilities with the latest mandate requiring people to wear masks or face coverings in public places where social distancing is more difficult to maintain.

While there is no penalty for not wearing a face covering at this time, Gov. Cuomo did say local law enforcement may address anyone who violates the mandate.
