Webster residents are among those who can request a shuttle

***
Webster, NY - Need a ride? RTS Transit is shaking things up that will revolutionize the bus system in Monroe County.
As part of its “Reimagine RTS” initiative, the shuttle service is now offering on-demand services for residents across Monroe County who want a ride quickly, as opposed to having to wait at a bus stop.
The change, which has been years in the making, was delayed a year due to the COVID pandemic. However, as of May 17, the service is officially in play.
Webster is among the few towns whose infrequently used routes have been cut by RTS. The on-demand service will allegedly resolve that issue for residents along those routes who still need rides, as RTS has designated the Town of Webster as one of its “on-demand zones.”
Some Webster residents have previously expressed concerns about the changes to the RTS shuttle service. Only time will tell whether or not the majority of shuttle riders will like the new on-demand service.
To request an on-demand shuttle, there are three options:
Use the RTS On Demand app
Visit myRTS.com
Call (585) 288-1700 for Customer Service
The on-demand service hours for Webster are as follows:
Monday-Friday: 5 a.m.-10 p.m.
Saturday: 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
Sunday: 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
More information is available in this “RTS On-Demand” brochure.
