The Maplewood, a well-respected nursing home located in Webster, recently shared a Facebook post thanking Salvatore’s Pizza for its donation of a free pizza lunch for the nursing home staff.
The Salvatore’s located on North Avenue in the Village of Webster made the donation as part of its Feed Rochester program, which donates meals to hospitals, health care sites, long-term care sites, first responder stations, 911, and other community fields in which people are facing COVID-19 on the front lines.
“Owner Silvio and his staff took the time to package each lunch in an individual box to keep us safe and keep the pizza fresh! Each lunch had 2 huge slices! Plus they gave us boxes of Girl Scout cookies for dessert,” The Maplewood shared in its Facebook post.
The pizzas were even delivered in pink boxes to support the Breast Cancer Coalition.
Salvatore’s is one of many examples of how people are going above and beyond to help their neighbors during COVID-19.
