Tom Flaherty retains seat as Webster Town Supervisor in 2021 Election

Danielle Palermo-Jimenez: ‘I am not here to throw shade, but know who represents you and what they bring to the table’

Webster, NY - The votes are in, and the majority of Webster voters have decided to re-elect Tom Flaherty as their town supervisor in the 2021 General Election.

Flaherty is currently wrapping up his first term as Webster Town Supervisor. He won the majority vote as the endorsed GOP/Conservative candidate with 65.5% of the vote, according to multiple election tracking sources, including the Democrat & Chronicle. He will officially begin his second term in January.

His opponent, Danielle Palermo-Jimenez - representing Democrats and Working Families - fell short with 34.5% of the final vote count.

On her official campaign page, Palermo-Jimenez shared a message to her supporters and all Webster voters following the election results. She begins with thanking her family and supporters. She then talks about the importance of voting and fully recognizing exactly who will be representing residents starting January 2022.

“I hope you pay attention to who got elected either by your vote or your lack of vote,” she writes, “[because] they are now in a position to represent you and me in Webster. I am not here to throw shade, but know who represents you and what they bring to the table.”

She continues: “There is not one thing I would [have] done different. Each candidate on our slate worked their butt off and more!”

With their party winning each seat in the race, the Webster Republican Committee had its own message to share.

“The Republican candidates are humbled by the outstanding support shown by Webster residents on Election Night,” the Committee wrote on Facebook.

In the race for the two seats on the Webster Town Board, Patti Cataldi and Ginny Nguyen - representing the GOP/Conservative party - won at 32.2% and 31.3% of the vote, respectively. Their opponents - Ashley Teague and Sid Bahl - earned 18.9% and 17.6% of the vote, respectively.

In the race for Webster Town Justice, Thomas DiSalvo was re-elected with 65.6% of the vote. His opponent Jeffrey Taylor earned 34.4% of the vote.
