Rumor suggested an employee had been in contact with someone who had been in contact with someone else who tested positive

The Webster town supervisor says the rumor that a town employee was sent home for having secondary contact with the coronavirus is not true. The rumor claimed that an employee had been in close contact with someone who had been in contact with someone else who tested positive for the virus.
The Webster Herald had received an anonymous tip suggesting the rumor was true.
However, Supervisor Tom Flaherty says the rumor is “false.”
Flaherty also stated that the town will publicly announce its plan for essential and non-essential departments and employees as we enter the week of March 23.
