Webster police are still searching for the stolen vehicle

Webster, NY - The Webster Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at a 7-Eleven in Webster on June 3.
The vehicle’s owner was leaving the convenient store at 828 Ridge Road that afternoon. After she got into her vehicle, a male approached and began conversing with her about her vehicle’s tire pressure. When the victim stepped out to look at her tire, the suspect entered the vehicle and started to drive away.
The victim attempted to stop the suspect by trying to hold onto the vehicle. The suspect struck another vehicle in the process. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no weapons identified during the incident. The victim was transported to Rochester General Hospital.
Webster police describe the suspect as a White male with a red bandana covering his face. The stolen vehicle is a 2019 blue Kia Sorento, NY registration, ARX-7433, and is still currently outstanding.
Police warn anyone who sees this vehicle to not approach, and to immediately call 911.
Webster PD will release more information as the investigation allows.
