Village of Webster to hold special meeting and public hearing regarding Tentative Budget 2020-21

The Village of Webster is holding a special meeting to present the proposed budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year. Following the presentation will be a public hearing, allowing residents to share feedback on the budget.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14 via video conference.


PLEASE NOTE: The meeting will be conducted via video conference, but there will be people in attendance at the Community Meeting Hall on Main Street. However, NO MORE than 10 people will be permitted to enter into the Community Meeting Hall, including village office staff.


Residents may also submit any questions they have regarding the budget to the Village Clerk via email at hhalstead@villageofwebster.com prior to the meeting and the Village Board of Trustees will answer them during the meeting.


A copy of the tentative budget, budget presentation materials, and instructions to join the meeting remotely can be found at www.villageofwebster.com.


The village says compensation proposed to be paid to the Board of Trustees in the tentative budget is as follows:

  • Mayor $10,713

  • Trustees $5,356


Following the public hearing and regular meeting agenda, the board will move into executive session “To discuss collective bargaining negotiations pursuant to Article Fourteen of the Civil Service Law.”
