There will be a virtual art show in its place

Organizers of the Waterfront Art Festival have announced that this year’s event, originally scheduled for July 25 and 26th at Webster’s North Ponds Park, has been canceled.
This year would have been the 47th year of the festival.
“We have made this decision based on our concern for the health and well-being of all the contributors and local community members that support and help make our festival so successful year after year,” the festival’s organizers announced in an official statement on their Facebook page.
Instead, in order to keep supporting the local art community, the organizers are hosting a virtual art show that will launch on July 25.
“This is an exciting announcement for us as the virtual show will be held across several platforms on our revamped websites and social media accounts, which will also be launched soon,” the statement reads.
People can visit the festival’s website, social media accounts, and emails for announcements of live artist demonstrations, live-streamed musical performances, local artists spotlights, and more.
Artists that have already registered for the live show through Zapplication should monitor their emails for a questionnaire and additional information regarding interest in participating in the virtual show.
