Webster Central School District (WCSD) says the last 1-2 lecture sessions of its Winter Drivers Education will be held via Zoom and/or email video. The driving portion of the program is on hold indefinitely.
The district has had to get innovative with its education methods due to COVID-19.
Drivers Ed. students will have the opportunity to make up missed lectures as well. Students will be contacted by their BOCES lecture instructor with information regarding the lecture format by May 20.
As for the Spring Drivers Education program, the district says it has been cancelled. WCSD community education staff will be contacting all students and parents with refund details today (May 1).
“We plan to offer the displaced driving students from spring registration early registration if summer lessons are planned,” WCSD says on its website.
Summer Drivers Education is currently on hold indefinitely.
