The virtual experience will replace the museum’s traditional tree decorating contest

Webster, NY - The Webster Museum expects to remain closed for the rest of 2020, much to the dismay of anyone who typically enjoys partaking in the museum’s traditional holiday festivities.
However, the museum is planning a “Virtual Tree/Holiday Festival” so that Webster residents can still welcome the upcoming holiday season with some fun.
In years past, the Webster Museum has traditionally hosted a community Christmas tree decorating contest. People and even organizations could sign up to decorate a small tree, which would then be put on display within the museum. Museum attendees could then vote for their favorite tree.
But due to COVID-19, the museum had to make different plans to prevent the spread of the virus.
In an email spreading the word of the virtual festival, the Webster Museum says it will release more details on its website by early November.
“All you have to do is start thinking about what makes the holidays fun and joyous for you and your family, and you will be ready to participate,” the museum says in its email.
