Families and groups were invited to create their houses from home

Webster, NY - In the spirit of the season, the Webster Public Library hosted its own Gingerbread House Competition, inviting families and community groups to create their houses from home and submit photos.
Registered families and groups named their teams and picked up supplies from the library, which they then took home to get to work.
Each team submitted photos of their houses, which were then posted on the library’s Facebook page. People then voted for their top four favorites.
“What a fun event it was for everyone!” Laureen Anthony-Palmer, library assistant for Community Connections, wrote in an email.
Below are pictures of the winning house. The team called themselves the “King Yummy Sheep.”
