A Summation of the Town of Webster Organizational Meeting for 2021

Webster, NY - The Town of Webster held its 2021 Organizational Meeting - which establishes various appointments and designations for the coming year - on Dec. 30, 2020.


Organizational meetings are standard for municipalities, and although generally routine, it’s worth reviewing the town’s basic map for 2021.


Town Meetings


Regular Town Board Meetings will continue to be held the first and third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Board Meeting Room (1002 Ridge Road, Webster).


Town Board Workshop meetings will be held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 5 p.m. in the Town Board Meeting Room.


Town Hall Hours


Webster Town Hall hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Offices will be closed weekends and the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day

  • President’s Day

  • Good Friday

  • Memorial Day

  • Floating Holiday (July 2)

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Columbus Day

  • Veterans Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Floating Holiday (Nov. 26)

  • Christmas Eve

Official Town Newspaper


The Webster Herald will continue as the official newspaper of the Town of Webster.


Mileage for Town Business


The following town officers and employees will be allowed mileage in connection with official town business at a rate of 52 cents per mile:

  • Town Clerk

  • Historian

  • Director of Finance

  • Justice Court Clerk

  • Planning Board members

  • Conservation Board members

  • The two town justices

  • The four Town Board council members

  • Custodian

  • Youth workers

  • Zoning Board of Appeals members

  • Accountant

  • And also any other employee meeting the criteria, with the approval of the appropriate department head

The claim of payment of such mileage shall be made monthly for the preceding month on proper vouchers itemizing the date, place, purpose, and number of miles in accordance with law; the same shall be filed with the Finance Department and audited by the Town Board.


Various Appointments, Positions, Roles, & Misc.


  • Sande Macaluso appointed Civil Officer for 1 year term

  • Raymond F. Wagner, CPA at Mengel Metzger Barr, contracted by the Town of Webster as auditor of the financial records of the officials of the town

  • Supervisor Flaherty appointed Deputy Administrator of Civil Defense

  • All police officers of the Webster Police Department are entitled to receive and keep all civil fees received by them, this duty to be formed on off-duty hours

  • The Town Board will act as a Town Board of Health as necessary during the year 2021, and Supervisor Flaherty designated as president and Councilman Abbott designated as Secretary of such board

  • A Blanket Bond for various officers; the cost of said bond being a charge upon the Town of Webster, and the Town Attorney has examined this bond and reports to the board that it is sufficient as to form, that it will be examined and approved by the county attorney

  • Charles Zlotkus, Christopher Brown, and Michael Duminuco (chair) appointed to the Conservation Board

  • David Arena and Anthony Casciani (chair) appointed to the Planning Board

  • David Paine appointed to the Assessment Review Board

  • Daniel M. Ammon III appointed to the Webster Public Library board

  • Supervisor appointed representative to the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals

  • Supervisor appointed representative of the Safety Committee

  • Councilwoman Cataldi appointed representative to the Conservation Board

  • Councilman Deane appointed representative to the Parks and Rec. Department

  • Supervisor appointed representative to the Project Review Committee

  • Councilman Deane appointed representative to the Webster Police Department

  • Councilman Cahill appointed one of the Town Board representatives to the Webster area fire council

  • Councilwoman Cataldi appointed representative to the Highway and Sewer Departments

  • Councilman Abbott appointed representative to the Assessing Department

  • Councilman Cahill appointed representative to the Public Works Department

  • Councilman Abbott appointed representative to the Town Clerk and Receiver of Taxes departments

  • Supervisor appointed representative to the Finance Department

  • Councilman Abbott appointed representative to the Information Technology Department

  • Councilman Deane appointed representative to the Webster Museum & Historical Society

  • Supervisor appointed representative to the Justice Courts

  • Supervisor appointed representative to the Human Resources Department

  • Councilman Cahill appointed representative to the Webster Public Library

  • Supervisor appointed representative to the Cable Access Commission

  • Supervisor appointed representative to the Webster Economic Development Alliance

  • Councilwoman Cataldi appointed Deputy Town Supervisor

  • Paul Adams will continue as Finance Director

  • Kim Doyle will continue as Secretary to the Supervisor

  • Lynn Barton will continue as Webster Historian

  • The Town of Webster adopts the 2021 Parks and Rec. fee schedule

They didn't that day and haven't still appointed a Zoning Board member. Any answers from Town Board members on why? There is a Zoning Board meeting Tuesday night and they will have to have that meeting with four board members while the Town Board plays games with peoples career's.
