Sunday kicked off Emergency Medical Service Week, and EMS workers deserve special recognition this year for their uninterrupted service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Northeast Quadrant Advanced Life Support (NEQALS) wants to highlight its paramedics and EMTs who continue to serve the Webster community amidst COVID-19.

This year’s EMS STRONG campaign theme, chosen by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), in partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), is: Ready Today. Preparing for Tomorrow.

The annual EMS STRONG campaign highlights the EMS community on a national level, giving everyone the opportunity to express their appreciation for these first responders by celebrating National EMS Week, which takes place May 17-23 this year.
