Webster, NY - The Village Quilt Shoppe, a business located in the Village of Webster, is asking for community support in helping a family member in need.

One of the Shoppe’s owners, Vanessa Parshall, recently learned that her cousin, Amy Groot, has been diagnosed with lymphoma and melanoma.

According to a news release, Amy is a full-time employee at Paychex, is an active member of her church community, and enjoys gardening and painting, all while also caring for her mother.

“Naturally, the news came as a devastating blow to her and her family,” the news release stated.

To support Amy in her foreseeable medical bills, the Village Quilt Shoppe is raffling off a particularly prized quilt: the Equinox. Pieced by Jean Cody and quilted by Finger Lakes Quilting, the Equinox measures 48”x 48” and is valued at $450.

Raffle tickets are $5 each and are available for purchase at the Village Quilt Shoppe during normal business hours. They will be sold through April 29.

The drawing is Friday, April 30.

The Village Quilt Shoppe is located at 21 E. Main Street, Webster. For more information, call (585) 626-6916.
