Webster Schools report 6 new cases of COVID-19

Five students tested positive

Webster, NY - The Webster Central School District today reported six new cases of COVID-19. Superintendent Carmen Gumina relayed the information to district families in a letter on the district’s website.


Gumina says the Monroe County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) has informed the district that the following students and staff members have tested positive for the virus:

  • Student - Plank Road South Elementary: The student was last on campus on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

  • Student - Spry Middle School: The student was last on campus Tuesday, Dec. 22.

  • Student - Webster Schroeder High School: The student was last on campus on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

  • Students - Webster Thomas High School: Two (2) students were last on campus on Thursday, Dec. 17 and Tuesday, Dec. 22.

  • Staff - Spry Middle School: The staff member was last on campus on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

“The MCDPH is continuing its contact tracing process,” Gumina writes. “Per federal privacy laws, the district is legally unable to disclose any further details or personally identifiable information regarding these cases.”
