Stagecoaches were the first public transportation in Webster, traveling at a speed of 6 mph.
Main Street was a dirt road and people paid money to be stagecoach passengers.
The Stagecoach Inn was the first frame building; other houses were log cabins.
This building had 10 bedrooms and two dining rooms where stagecoach passengers stopped for a bite to eat and a place to stay.
The Stagecoach Inn burned down in 1969 and the building that took its place was built the same year.
